About the Author

Christopher McCoy fought in the Global War on Terror on multiple combat deployments with the 75th Ranger Regiment, including Operation Winter Strike in the Hindu Kush. He later supported Naval Special Warfare pre-deployment training and spent years in defense research and security work.

Unseen Worlds is what happened when he stopped trying to outrun the war and started reading the old maps instead — Jung's archetypes, the Greek warrior tradition, the rites of Eleusis — and found that the ancients had already charted the territory modern trauma medicine is still rediscovering.

He lives in Maryland.
